Back-flow Prevention Device Testing
What is a Back-flow Prevention Device? A BFP valve is the device which keeps water in a non-potable system from accidentally flowing back into our drinking water systems. According to the International Building Code, all irrigation systems are considered non-potable and are required to have a Back-Flow Prevention Device installed at the water line point of connection.
A properly installed, tested, and maintained back-flow preventer protects our clean water systems from possible contamination and protects you from any potential liability.
These devices must also be tested once a year by a State Certified Tester, and the results must be submitted to the local water company. Coddington Enterprise is certified with all local water utility companies as accredited back-flow device testers and have been performing tests and repairs on local BFP devices for over two decades.
